The CNC-controlled Layoutblocker-PRA (prismatic with alloy) processes up to 120 lenses/hour. The system automatically adjusts prism angle, prism basis, and the axis of the blocking chuck. While one lens is cooling on the first station, another lens can be adjusted on the second station.

The new Layoutblocker-PRA offers enhanced features for more process safety and operating convenience:
Parallel working – both stations can be operated simultaneously. The operator can switch between the two stations (except during lens adjustments)
Auto fill stop – the alloy fills and automatically stops when correct level is reached.
Blocking ring recognition – control software checks whether a blocking ring is necessary and if the inserted ring is correct. Only then can blocking occur.
